read and consider all submissions for literary quality and relevance, regardless
of subject matter or genre. We consider all authors, even those who are
beginners or who are unpublished. We are a small press that is interested in
assisting authors in getting their words in front of people - plain and simple.
We accomplish this task by working with talented and experienced editorial
professionals and state-of-the-art publication services.
These days there are countless publications produced by large
print-on-demand firms who charge beginner writers hundreds, even thousands of
dollars, to publish their work. Because these companies profit from selling
publishing and other services to beginning writers, they publish virtually
anything, regardless of quality. Fine Tooth Press provides an editorial "buffer"
between author and print-on-demand publishing technology, so authors can avoid
the stigma of self-publishing. Further, we do not charge authors to publish what
they’ve written; we pay them to do so! If you have a book-length manuscript ready for publication, consider Fine
Tooth Press! We will also consider books previously self-published if you
own all the rights.
Professional Queries/Submissions should include a cover letter, brief biography, sample
story or chapter (entire manuscript if sending a poetry collection) and S.A.S.E.
Submission packets sent on cd-r or via email in MS Word format will receive a
quicker reply. Be sure to include your full name, address,
telephone number and email address when submitting material. Please allow 12-16
weeks for a reply (especially during the academic year - also, unsolicited
submissions may take slightly longer). Please, no simultaneous
submissions.
